DAY 01.- Reception at the airport or bus terminal in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, visit to the canyon's viewpoints and transfer to Cahuaré to take a motorboat and enter the Sumidero Canyon to see its high limestone walls, flora and fauna, visit to Chiapa de Corzo, colonial fountain, the church of Santo Domingo, buffet lunch of Chiapas food included, transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas. DAY 02.- At 08:00 hrs. visit of the city, walking tour of the historic center, Cerrillo neighborhood, colorful market, Santo Domingo church, ecclesiastical walkway, the cathedral, explanation of amber in a workshop, we will go to the Mayan towns of Chamula and Zinacantan to see their customs, worldview, religious syncretism and rituals, lunch not included, return to San Cristóbal and rest of the afternoon free.
DAY 03.- At 05:00 a.m. Departure to Ocosingo with breakfast included en route, visit to the ancient Mayan city of Toniná, we will see the highest temple in Mesoamerica, Cascadas de Agua Azul, time to appreciate this beautiful place with time to swim if you wish, lunch included, visit to the Misol-ha waterfall, arrival in Palenque and accommodation in La Casa del Cielo cabins at the Yaxkin Ecotourism Center in a natural jungle setting or at the hotel in the city.
DAY 04.- At 05:00 hrs. Departure to the Lacandon jungle with breakfast included en route, visit to the archaeological zone of Bonampak, where we will see the mural paintings, a surprising work of art of the Mayan culture. Afterwards we will sail on a motorboat on the Usumacinta River to get to Yaxchilan, visit this Mayan city immersed in the Chiapas jungle where we will see high temples, steles, lintels, hieroglyphic writing, ball game, lunch included in the local restaurant and return to Palenque.
DAY 05.- After breakfast at 08:00 hrs. visit to the archaeological zone of Palenque to see the tomb of the Red Queen, temple of the inscriptions, the palace, temple of the sun, temple of the foliated cross, ball game, north group, site museum, buffet of regional food included in the local restaurant and transfer to Villahermosa airport or bus terminal. end of services.
