DAY 01.- At 06:00 am. Departure to the town of SIMOJOVEL passing through the Zapatista towns of San Andrés Larrainzar and Oventic, observing beautiful landscapes of the Chiapas mountains, arriving at approximately 09:00 in the morning, time to have breakfast included in the local restaurant, after We go to the neighborhood of los pocitos where we walk for a kilometer and a half towards the AMBAR mines surrounded by mountains with the local guide to learn about the way of working and extracting this fossil resin, also known as the tears of the jungle, food included in the local restaurant, we continue with the visit of the workshops where the artisans cut and polish the Amber and you can buy the pieces you want directly from them at SUPER ACCESSIBLE prices, accommodation in the hotel or lodge in houses of local families dinner not included and overnight.
DAY 02.- After the included breakfast we go to the community of PAUCHIL where we are in contact with local people, the miners and start a walk among the vegetation to visit the mines of this place to see more the work of the men of the community and the importance of visiting this place, you can buy pieces of Amber directly from the person who extracts it and who works it, we return to Simojovel, we visit the Amber museum, food included and return to San Cristóbal with a stop in Oventic Zapatista community to see the wall paintings and Visit of San Andrés Larrainzar where we visit the Church and Continuation to San Cristóbal de las Casas.
